GMC Sierra 1500 – A Modern Workhorse

Depending on what you are looking for in a vehicle, the GMC Sierra may be what you are looking for. The interior is easy to find, the power delivery is smooth, and the fuel economy is 17 mpg for the crew cab four-wheel-drive version.

Interior controls are easy to find

GM’s new Sierra 1500 offers a modern workhorse wrapped in a beautiful design. The truck comes in a variety of trim levels, all with powerful drivetrain options.

The base powertrain is a 6.6-liter gas V8, making 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The available Duramax diesel engine produces 460 pound-feet of torque and achieves 30 mpg on the highway.

GMC’s latest infotainment system uses a 13.4-inch touchscreen to perform most functions. Bluetooth, wireless phone mirroring, navigation, and voice control are all available. The touchscreen also responds quickly to swipes, presses, and natural language.

The MultiPro tailgate is a desirable feature. The tailgate opens in six different configurations. The top trims come standard with trailer camera angles. There are also trailer-towing aids. The head-up display is another fun-to-use feature.

Power delivery is smooth

Whether you are looking for a family truck or a heavy-duty pickup, the GMC Sierra is the right choice. It features innovative technologies, comfortable interiors, and a variety of engine choices. The Sierra can carry a heavy load with ease while providing a responsive power delivery that keeps you in control.

The Sierra 1500 has a robust engine lineup with a variety of options, including a 5.3-liter V8. A turbo-diesel 6-cylinder is also available, which makes the Sierra a fuel-efficient full-size truck.

The Sierra AT4X has a more rugged look and feel, thanks to an updated interior and a larger touchscreen. It also has a head-up display that is configurable and fully readable. The tailgate is also customizable and can be fitted with a Bluetooth audio system.

Fuel economy is 17 mpg for the 5.3L V8 engine crew-cab four-wheel-drive version

Among pickup trucks, the GMC Sierra is probably the most popular body style. It offers a range of engines, including a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline four-cylinder, a 5.3-liter V8, and a 6.2-liter V8. They all deliver decent fuel economy.

The turbocharged 2.7-liter inline 4-cylinder is rated at 23 mpg on the highway and 21 mpg in the city. The 5.3-liter V8 isn’t far behind. However, the 5.3-liter V8 has a surprisingly low towing capacity of 12,200 pounds.

The range-topping naturally aspirated 6.2-liter L87 V8 is rated at 20 mpg on the highway and 15 mpg in the city. Both the 5.3-liter V8 and the 6.2-liter V8 deliver more than enough power.

The Sierra’s fuel economy numbers are pretty much on par with those of the Chevy Silverado. The base 4.3-liter LV3 V6 delivers 17 mpg combined.

Multi-pro tailgate

GM’s MultiPro Tailgate is available on the Next Generation GMC Sierra, and it complements the rugged cargo bed with a six-function tailgate. The multi-function tailgate is designed to enhance functionality without compromising safety.

GMC engineers designed the MultiPro tailgate to provide a load-stop solution that also allows for easy access to the cargo bed. It’s not only one of the first tailgates to offer such a feature, but it’s also one of the best.

The MultiPro tailgate can be lowered with the use of a key fob and can be operated manually, too. The MultiPro tailgate uses a torsional spring and a damper to allow for a smooth, quiet lowering.

The MultiPro tailgate also boasts a built-in load-stop feature that prevents lumber and other heavy items from sliding out of the bed. This feature is also helpful when loading heavy objects such as a boat or trailer.

Off-road package

Whether you’re into serious off-roading or just want a new pickup, GMC Sierra’s AT4X trim will add some serious off-road attitude to your truck. The trim comes with a number of off-road-ready features, including a two-inch suspension lift and rock sliders. It also has an off-road chassis with off-road tuning.

The AT4X features Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers. It also has electronic locking differentials for both the front and rear. You also get a pair of rock sliders and a front winch. Depending on the trim, you can also get a two-speed transfer case.

The AT4X also has a premium interior, complete with an ash wood trim and Vanta ash wood inserts. It also features a 12-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system. The interior also boasts 40 diagonal inches of combined driver-focused digital displays.
